Should we implement dark or night mode in our applications?

Dark or night mode is a display setting for user interfaces. Now we want to answer this question:

Is it required to support both light and dark (night) modes when producing software?

The short answer is This is recommended. Apart from reducing battery usage in mobile devices, dark or night mode has some additional advantages.

The idea behind dark mode is that it reduces the light emitted by device screens while maintaining the minimum color contrast ratios required for readability.

The science behind dark mode is still a little shady, with lots of conflicting views and evidence as to its benefits. Some experts say it’s easier and healthier to read text against a dark background as it reduces eye strain, while other studies arrive at the opposite conclusion.
